Faith, Hustle, and a Vision
It all started when we crossed paths at a music event in 2014. What began as a collaboration soon turned into a relationship and a relentless pursuit of our dream: making good music. We kept building, it was hard work, with little to no return, but hearing our songs on the airwaves was sweet and we knew we were just getting started.
Then one night, in our tiny Cape Town bachelor pad, something bizarre happened. Jodi had a dream - literally. Not the sleep kind, but a vision. She saw a platform. A music platform that would give artists like us a voice. We wastes no time, brainstorming like mad. We even sold our little "krokkie" to fund this project. Yes, you read that right. But of course, life had other plans. The money ran out and our dream hit pause.
Then one day something just shifted. Jodi, always the visionary, started feeling the pull of tech. She realized the potential to build platforms that did more than just generate cash, they could actually solve problems. And that’s when things clicked. Impact first. Profits would follow.
But let me tell you, the grind wasn’t glamorous. We built, we broke, we rebuilt, and we did it again. We kept going, even when the road ahead was blurry. Faith became our fuel. We kept moving, trusting that each step was guided and God had a plan even if we couldn’t see it.
Fast forward to today, we have three platforms. Two of them ready to roll, polished and primed for South Africa to see. First, an e-commerce platform that gives people access to exclusive deals in the hiring products and services space. Second, a game-changer for communication between schools and parents, a project we hold close to our hearts.
And then, there’s the third one - the one from Jodi’s dream, in its early stages, but we’ve built an informational site, laying the foundation for connecting artists and industry pros.
This journey has been a marathon of faith, grit, and a whole lot of hustle and we wouldn't change a thing because it changed us as people for the better.
